GOURMET CLUB VALENTINE COOKIEGRAM SALES are currently going on. Cost is $2.00. You can order one for yourself or send one to someone special. See any Gourmet Club member to order. Last day to order is Monday, February 12, and will be delivered on Valentine’s Day at lunch.

 

BLOOD DRIVE ASSEMBLY: There will an assembly TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 7, during Advisory for all sophomores, juniors and seniors. Students should report to Advisory for attendance and then be released to the gym.

 

SCHOLAR BOWL: We have two matches this week. TODAY we will be at Carlyle (bus time is 2:48. Dismissal is 2:38) and Wednesday we will be at Home vs. Gibault.

 

Seniors stop by the guidance office for new scholarship information.  This update includes the Trenton and New Baden Chamber of Commerce Scholarships and the Be Ben Strong Scholarship.

 

Registration Sheets Due: If you have not yet turned in your registration sheet for next year signed by a parent get that to the guidance office ASAP!  It is late!

 

Students taking dual credit classes this is a reminder that the date to drop a class for dual credit is February 13th.  If you need to withdraw from the dual credit portion of a class see Mrs. Fisher for a drop form.

 

This week the Diversity Club is sponsoring a Celebrate Diversity Week.  Each day will focus on a different theme. Here is the schedule:

DRESS UP THEMES

Wednesday – School Clubs and Organizations. WEAR YOUR CLUB’S SHIRT.

Thursday – Homelands: Country of Origin or Ethnicity – From where did your ancestors immigrate?  Dress accordingly. Get Creative. (Kilts allowed)

Friday – Athletics – School or Professional Teams. Show your school spirit by wearing a shirt supporting any one of our athletic teams or Black & Orange. Wesclin hats only allowed.

CHARITY CAUSE

Donations will be accepted each day of the week during the lunch periods.  Money collected will be donated to the Trevor Project – Helps counsel teens!                     https://www.thetrevorproject.org

 

CLASH OF THE CLASSES:  Starting Monday the 12th through Thursday the 15th, STUCO will be hosting the CLASH OF THE CLASSES! Throughout the week each class will compete in minute-to-win-it-like games in Advisory. Sign-up sheets for the games are on the bulletin board. A lack of interest or sign-ups will result in cancellation. MAY THE BEST CLASS WIN!!

            Monday – Wear your favorite team’s jersey

            Tuesday – Wear your best flannel

            Wednesday – Wear pink or red to celebrate Valentine’s Day

            Thursday – WHACK OUT!

 

SHOW YOUR SCHOOL SPIRIT CONTEST – Please vote for Wesclin on the Aviston Lumber Facebook page one time a day through February 8! Winning school receives $1,500; second place $500!

 

Why waste your money on flowers that die???  Buy your sweetheart a dozen donuts instead of a dozen roses - they're a lot cheaper too!!  See anyone in the junior class or Mrs. Klein or Mrs. Brede to order yours today!!

 

Track Athletes: Just a reminder to turn your athletic fee in to Mrs. Ranz in the office.

 

LifeSavers: Mark your calendars.  Our Lock-in will be held on Thursday, February 15th from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
